Euphoria: ADE ((After Dragon Evacuation.))
Little Krynthe around a century later became more than just a viking village. With Dragon’s Bane in their possession and disposal - other nations began to seek trade with the town, causing it to hit a huge population boom filled with merchants, nobles, and everyone from all slice of life seeking out opportunity to such a useful and sought after product.
The construction began as soon as the architects had arrived, creating a small town branching out to overlook the cliff, a large staircase leading down to a newly built dock area. Within this town there were the greatest minds, politicians, and craftsman - all working together to make Dragon’s Bane the main crop of trade, and it works for a good long while.
Though, the more they grew the plant and gave it away, the more other nations unlocked its secrets, making the plant not as rare or sought after anymore. Krynthe began to fall into an economical spiral - merchants and nobles going out of business and resorting to live in a middle class state, or worse - being completely bankrupted and forced to sleep at the docks. Because of the sudden shift in economic classes, the whole town began to build on top of each other - creating three sections within the town -
Sovereign, the nobles and richman that survived.
Medial, the middle class.
and Nether - those that became poor, outcasted, and began to sleep in the catacombs - also known as the old city, carved into the very cliffside itself.
For a time, this was the way of life, the economy of the Kingdom becoming turbulent and unbalanced due to still relying on a resource that was no longer special to the world.. That is, until a familiar roar could be heard on the edges of the Kingdom territory, bringing back memories of times almost forgotten.
The great Wyrm of the past, the same Dragon that had prompted the growth and spread of Dragons Bane, seemed to be approaching closer and closer to the Kingdom. The old ways of Dragonslaying had been lost to most, reserved now to only a few distinct families that held the tradition close. The Kingdom had no strong line of defense.
But with every threat of growing Darkness, the specks of light grow brighter in turn. News was made of the trouble of the Dragon, along with mentions of other legends capable of being conquered, slain or bargained with, and with the steady voice of those that were wise with their tongue, adventurers and heroes did begin to flood into the city.
With them came trading caravans, ready to invest and spend their gold in the cities as well as discover ways of extracting value from the other aspects of the region previously unattended. Though the fear of a Dragon that would soon withstand the power of Dragonsbane was growing, the search for glory seemed to be growing faster.
and that’s why you’re here too, isn’t it?
