Welcome to the official guild creation guide! Within this ledger, you'll know all the direct steps to create your very own guild within the realm of Euphoria! So then, without further delays....
Let's get started, shall we?
The first step to guild formation is to have an actual guild in mind! Will it be a seamstress guild? A warrior's guild? Absolutely anything is possible!
But, what is a guild exactly? Well, according to the dictionary a guild is:
Guild (gild)
noun
1.
an organization of persons with related interests, goals, etc., especially one formed for mutual aid or protection.
An organization. So, because of this - you must have at least two other people along with yourself to form such a thing! What happens when you lose members, or do not have enough people from the beginning? It's simple - you won't have a guild. So do make sure you have it interesting enough for people to stay!
Why even create a guild at all? Not only do you and your members get paid to be part of the guild - you can also provide a service for the realm including:
Trading goods
Creating wares
Hunting animals/demons/criminals
providing services such as dungeon crawling, questing, or other 'cinematic' services.
.....and much more!
It creates valuable story for all, and there are many rewards and seperate quests that get provided for guild members, so why not give it a try!
Once you have three people (that includes yourself!) you must fill out the application, wait for it to get approved, then go purchase a deed, which brings us to the next step!
So you have the people and the idea - so what's next? Well, your guild wont be considered official unless you purchase the deed for it!
Why do you have to buy a deed? Well, since your guild members get paid for being part of the guild - we need to have documentation so that we can keep track of everything in order for you and your guildees to get paid.
Be forewarned there is a guild tax that is collected monthly, which is a total of five coins per member.
The guild deed is a total of five-hundred coins, and can be obtained by talking to any law enforcement, the bank, The Questarium, or the queen herself. Do know that once you purchase a deed - that is the only guild deed you will ever have as you can only own just one. If your guild get's disbanded, the deed will be reclaimed by the bank after fourteen days, in which someone else can claim your guild's ownership.
Although you may only have one deed - you can trade the deed to someone else to make them the new owner of your guild, then purchase a new deed and create a new guild.
Once your guild has been stamped and approved, you can now work on establishing a quarters for you and your members.
Now here comes the important part - finding a place for you and your guildees to meet! This can be anywhere from your home, or an actual guild hall that you can purchase. Our suggestion is to start small, and once you have the members - have them share the load and help pay for the rental!
Within this homestead, you are able to have your meetings, and other guild business handled without prying eyes. If you don't have a homestead, be warned that any business that's spoken outside of the building with be considered IC knowledge for all those who hear!
That being said, others are able to eavesdrop within your guild meetings, but they must post three times of their sneaking presence, and all your guildmates will roll for all three times to see if the spy is caught. If you and your guild mates catch the sneaky naersayer two out of three times - then they are caught and how you get rid of them is entirely up to you as long as they are not killed!
Your guild is required to have at least three people at any given time, with specific roles created for each member. Why Three? Well it takes a trio to help run a guild, as your roles should be something as follows:
RANK 1: Leader
RANK 2: Co-Lead
RANK 3: Adviser
After these three ranks (in which can be called whatever you wish as long as those are the official duties of the three within the guild during creation) - any rank is entirely up to you.
Note that children CANNOT create guilds, and CANNOT be one of the top three tier ranks, until they are of the age eighteen, due to taxes that must be collected. Children in guilds are not taxed at anytime.
The tax per member is a total of 5 coins per member. AS THE OWNER OF THE GUILD IT IS YOUR JOB TO COLLECT THESE COINS AND SUBMIT THEM TO THE BANK. Taxes are always collected on the first of the month. If you are late, their is a fee of 100 coins, so be sure to submit your taxes early if you CANNOT submit it on the first!
Also, your guild must have a guild meeting at least once a month, and they must be recorded for staff purposes. Once your guild has been accepted, a staff member will show you where to do this process.
A guild can be lost if the members drop below the number three, if taxes or rentals are not paid, if meetings are not held, and/or the rules of TOS are broken in any way. For the most part there is a three-strike policy, unless TOS is broken, in which case the guild will be permanently destroyed - in which no one can claim the guild afterwards.
If their are not enough members, you have fourteen days to find someone new to join.
If rentals are not paid, you have 5 business days to pay the rent, in which we can work with you to find a cheaper rental if necessary.
If taxes are not paid, it will be tacked on to the next month.
If any of these three things are broken after the time allotted, then the guild will be claimed by the bank - in which you have two weeks (another fourteen days) to reclaim your guild.
IF A GUILD IS NOT RECLAIMED - ANOTHER PERSON CAN CLAIM THE GUILD AT MIDNIGHT ON THE 14TH DAY.
Want to change your guild's name or purpose? A fee of 200 coins will be collected, and you will have to restart the application process. In this application, the ranks can be changed except for the owners, in which it has to be the original owner who complies and agrees with the change.
If the previous owner gave the deed to someone else to be in charge, then it is the new owner that has to agree and comply with all changes made on the re-done application.
Keep in mind that all purchases and changes will be FINAL, and if you wish to redo your guild yet again, 200 gold will be collected, and an application with continuously have to be refilled.
After a change, a new change cannot be made within 30 days.
That's it! Think you understand well enough? Fill free to start the application! Still have questions? PM Chione DuCairne , Persephone Siegfried , Lyra Siegfried or King Senya for answers - or check out our FAQ.
Onward to the application!
